Mega-Church Pastor Offers 52 Free Sermons & Notes Online

From time to time, Pastor Rick Warren of the Saddleback Church in California has come under fire and criticism.
Some have criticized him over positions he has taken in some of his books. Some have criticized him for the part he played in the first debate between the presidential candidates in the 2008 election. Others have criticized him simply because of the size of his church and ministry.
None of this criticism has seemed to affect how Pastor Warren conducts himself.
In fact, Rick Warren has reached out to pastors everywhere by providing 52 sermons, ready to be preached, with handouts from one of his websites http://pastors.com .
These sermons are presented in full text format with the intention of encouraging those who may be struggling for meaningful preaching material. Many pastors must provide fresh preaching material each week, even though they may be serving as bi-vocational pastors.
On his website Pastor Rick says “When I was planting Saddleback Church, other pastors’ sermons fed my soul – and eased my preparation! I hope the sermons here will do the same for you. Regardless of the previous criticism, I believe this action is a true act of love directed at those of us who also serve in the Gospel ministry and is a testament to Rev. Warren’s heart for those who carry the Gospel. It is a perfect mirror of what Jesus meant when he said “by this shall all men know that you are my disciples, by your love one for another”.
